A strong neighborhood presence and positive urban image was the design intent for this 20-unit apartment building for chronically mentally ill residents. Based on a small corner lot facing a busy intersection, the design created a very visible pedestria- scale corner entrance and stair tower, while providing screened parking behind a continuous building facade fronting Powell Boulevard.
